Discover the Underworld
Apo Reef Natural Park is the world’s second largest single coral reef and the largest atoll in the Philippines and was declared a protected area on September 6, 1996. It has a surrounding zone covering a total of 27,460 hectares consisting of three islands.
From the resort to apo reef is a trip of two and a half hours using our larger boat and by speed boat one hour. The island features a shallow lagoon, rich mangrove forests as a food source, nursery, and spawning ground for marine animals and birds.
A climb to the lighthouse to see the breath taking views of the reef, the surrounding mangroves and rock formations is inviting for the guests to explore. Collect some information about the Apo Reef Natural Park as you visit the ranger station on the island.
